Chapter 3. Sunnie

These guy's are scary up close, I can't even make eye contact with them. So like the weirdo I am I try to lighten the situation with my humor. " Sooooo nice weather we are having." They just stare at me the Toby burst out laughing, at least someone still has a sense of humor. " I like her, can we keep her." said Toby.

" Can you shot a gun or kill zombies?" said Nick. " I have not used a gun before but I have killed many kittens." They all just stared at me like I was crazy. " Ohhh I call zombies kittens... I don't kill the fuzzy ones." Toby starts laughing and I'm pretty sure Alex gave me a little smile. "I guess you can come with us until you get to where you were heading before you decided to act like Tarzan and climb a tree." Said Nick. Like the child I am I stick my tongue out at him. Toby and Alex laughed. Nick is going to be a tough one to crack, good thing I like a challenge.

We have been walking through these woods for what seems like hours, but it's probably been minutes, man I'm out of shape. The silence is killing me and I can't take it anymore. " so do you guys like dad jokes?" Nobody answers me so I continue. "Why did the pony go to the doctor?" "Why?" said Toby. " He was feeling little horse!" Toby and Alex laugh. " Kill me now, you are as bad as Toby." said Nick.

Out of nowhere Nick stops walking and I run right into him, good thing he is built like a brick wall. Good for him not me, I flew back and landed on my ass. They all chuckled. " I knew I could make you laugh Nick." Nick looked down at me and offered his hand. I accepted his help because why not he is pretty attractive.

We reached the end of the woods and waited to see if any kittens or zombies came by. " There is a grocery store over there to the right, we should check to see if we can stock up on anything." Said Alex. " Great, Alex you and...I'm sorry we never asked your name." Said Nick. " s**t, sorry I guess I am not used to people. My name is Sunnie." " Ok, Alex you and Sunnie go check out the store, Toby and I will keep watch." Said Nick.
