No longer restricted by an emotion inhibitor filtering his feelings, Paul felt a little strange. He hadn’t really known what to expect and had imagined that he may suddenly be engulfed by a deluge of strong emotions. But he didn’t feel very much different than he had done previously. He looked quizzically at Philip.
“Are you sure this has worked? I don’t feel any different.”
Philip laughed.
“Your stronger emotions weren’t locked up in storage just waiting for someone to unlock the door, so they could tumble out. If something happens in the future that triggers strong emotions, you’ll certainly notice them then.”
“To be honest, I’m a bit nervous about that. What if I get overwhelmed?”
“You may do the first few times but you soon learn to control those feelings and keep them in check
