Constantine was feeling good about himself and began to daydream about where this investigation may lead. The Director may not completely believe in his powers of sophont identification, but the fact that the man was going to look into Constantine’s suspicions was surely a step in the right direction. Perhaps he would be rewarded with a raise; a few extra credits in his bank account would always be welcome. He may even inadvertently have earned himself a promotion to supervisor status. Whatever the reward, Constantine did feel that he merited some form of recognition for his discovery – a sophont with enhanced emotions could unbalance the status quo and he was certain that Director Zlikovac appreciated knowing about it.
