“So what happened?” I asked. “Did he do it?”
Blue headed straight for the kitchen and Aaron’s coffee machine. “Wait until Colt and Luca get here. I’m not answering the same questions twice.”
I turned my attention to Aaron and gave what I hoped was a winning smile.
It sort of worked.
“We don’t know,” he told me. “That’s the short version.”
Brooke ran in. “Well? What happened?”
“He won’t dish the dirt until Colt and Luca get here.”
“Not even to me? Your favourite sister?”
“You’re my only sister. And they’ll be here in five minutes—we called them as soon as we left Baldwin Estates.”
When Blue decided she was taking Aaron with her to question EJ, I’d been a little peeved about being sidelined, but in light of my new “don’t f**k this up” mantra, I’d gone along with the plan.
