Darian’s POV
She was indeed very beautiful in that pink dress. And judging that the mating ceremony was being held, she had probably been rejected. I wondered why?
I forgot to ask which pack she came from. Even though she had almost killed herself in the woods, there was a possibility for it to have been a well thought out plan by a spy. But she looked so pale and fragile…with no wolf?
Surely, whatever pack she’s from knew the implications of being in the brawny pack as a spy. No one has escaped or even lasted up to a week as a spy in my territory.
“Ahh here you are” Tristan remarked as he walked into my study.
“Where else did you think I would be?” I gave him a sarcastic look.
“Shooting some birds with arrows I guess” he leaned on the window beside me.
“I have to get this across the pack” I dipped the pen in some more ink.
“What is that again?”
“A letter terminating all our trade partnerships with the beam pack”
“Ohh”,
“So did you get the name of the pack she is from?”
“No, I didn’t, but I should have.”
“She could be from one of our enemy territories and keeping her in our possession could initiate war for us.”
“If war is what they want, we will give it to them” I replied, sealing the letter.
“You are thirsty for some war, aren’t you?” he smirked.
“Hand this letter to the scribes, ask them to make copies of it and distribute it to every family in the pack”
“Okay, sir” he took the letter from me and in no time, I was left all alone again.

The next day, I ordered that Aria be woken up and brought to the training grounds.
“Do I start the training now?” she yawned
“Here’s your task for today." I handed her a paper and watched as the sleep vanished from her eyes and they widened.
“You can’t possibly expect me to do all this” she frowned.
“I don’t expect them to be done. I demand it be done”
She stared at me long and hard before replying, “And what are you going to do if I don’t?”.
I smirked. She was a feisty one and I derived joy in these types.
“Why don’t you defy and find out?”,
“I need to know,” she folded her arms.
“Well, I am sure you wouldn’t mind walking around my farm twenty times while being tied to a plough cow,”
“I need breakfast to start!” she said a bit louder.
“Meet Eddie, she is the head of the kitchen, tell her you are sucide girl. She knows what to do” I watched as her face went red with anger.
“My name is Aria, I would appreciate if you called me that please”
“Well, no problem, but for Eddie to know who you are, you would have to tell her you are suicide girl” I waited for a reaction but found none. “Alright, I will see you at six and access the rate at which you did all I asked”
She just stared at me and I turned to leave. I spent the rest of the day training with Tristan, writing in my study and eating lunch which was served by suicide girl herself.
By evening, it was time for the secret guard I appointed to watch her to report her activities. From the report, I found out that she was a good girl in the beginning. She cleaned the stables and fed the horses. She assisted the winery to press out good wine. She planted corn, served us lunch and finally washed the windows of the barn I would never use.
“This looks good, but you didn’t go to see the blacksmith. You were supposed to craft a dagger”
“I did everything else didn’t I?” She asked sarcastically and I couldn’t help but be impressed with her courage.
“I am impressed, I literally gave you a second chance at life which means you belong to me now”
“I did not ask you to save me, I was really fine with dying” she adjusted her flowy skirt which had been given to her by the servants of the house. “I never asked you to save me so I don’t belong to you”.
“Hey. Slow down,” Tristan said softly.
“Why should I when your brother is obviously such an ass” she yelled.
“I just really think we should all calm down and work this out, I mean the matter is just escalating for no reason,” Tristan looked at me “What do you think we could do to resolve this Darian?”
“I really think it is time I teach her a lesson” I replied.
I watched as they tied her hands to the plough and how the bulls dragged her along the muddy path. My farm was extremely large and by twenty turns, she would know what she had gotten into. By the fifth turn, she was already panting. Five more turns later, she was crying and cursing. Additional five turns later, she had become a walking dead and the after the final five, her feet were dragging against the mud.
She was knelt before me and I used my hands on her chin to lift her gaze to meet mine.
“How do you feel now, suicide girl?” I could visibly see hatred in her eyes and a burning desire to destroy me. Gazes didn't scare me, but I could not shake off the feeling hers was giving me.
She did not reply as expected so I went on “This is just a friendly reminder that you are in my territory and there is no place for weakness here” her lids dropped slightly.
“I know you understand, you look like a good girl” I brushed the mud off her nose with my thumb “take her to her chambers”, I instructed.
As they took Aria away, she turned and threw me the death stare, I knew I was being paranoid but I immediately had this gut feeling. Maybe, just maybe this Suicide girl might be the end of me.
