Seeing Alice’s open back, striving away from him—getting away from Lennox’s sight with each step she takes--makes every bit of him mad. Eyes opening wide, trembling palms forming into fists, he knew anytime madness could take over as it sores up within him harder and harder the farther she gets.

Lennox thought repeatedly, going crazy from the thought that he’ll have to lose her again from his grasp that night.
