The Newsboys Lodging House
“YOU DID OKAY today, Triple N, but since it’s Thursday, we need to get beds at the Newsboys Lodging House—they serving pork ’n’ beans, my favorite. Right down the block.” Tommy pointed. “Corner of Duane and Chambers. Like before. Do what I do.”
“Welcome. You’re in time for supper!” A staff member announced to the five or six newsies who arrived together. The boys climbed the stairs to the second floor and entered the long dining room, which seated two hundred.
