The Vision Unfolds
BODEE SHOUTED TO Gerda and Eddie, “Over here! Over here!” The dog paddle, effective at staying afloat, was not known for forward progress. He turned sideways to take his first stroke in their direction and was pulled on the leg from below in separate directions. Pain shot up through his spine as he headed underwater. He bent over at the waist and found two women grasping his legs and starting to claw their way up his torso. Got to get loose or we’re all gonna die.
Someone took hold of him from behind and he fell back, but the women held on. Got no choice. He elbowed the person at his back and removed the two women clawing at his legs with a combination of knees and punches. He noted a look of peace on their faces as they each reached the breaking point. The
