My Cursed Alphas

Chapter 10

Kyra POV

I know that we aren't close. I even hate the guy, but this was low. Even for him. I went to leave the room but Ethan's stupid bodyguard was in my way. 

"Move meathead!" I said with my alpha voice, shoving him out of my way.

I was pissed. It was the damn mate bond, otherwise, I don't think I would have cared. I had wanted to leave the room quietly, but my outburst gave me away. 

I still had my music playing and didn't hear anyone come up behind me. But as soon as I felt a hand on my shoulder, I tensed and attacked. I grabbed the hand and twisted it moving behind the 'attacker' and pinning the arm in a very uncomfortable position. 

When I looked to see who it was, I was even more pissed off. Keeping her arm behind her back with one hand I used my other to take my airpods out of my ears.

"And what the hell do you want?" I wasn't in the mood for any games.

She whimpered and answered, "I just wanted to apologize I didn't realize that Ethan had a mate. I am so sorry, Kyra." 

I growled, "It is Alpha Kyra to you," I said with my alpha voice and released her arm, "Get out of my face, w***e."

I put my airpods back into my ears and took off looking for a door. I needed to be outside. I looked behind me and meathead was still following. I rolled my eyes internally. 

When I couldn't find a door outside, I realized it was because I was still on the second floor. I went over to a window, opened it, and jumped out, I rolled as I hit the ground and was up and running again before meathead could even register what happened. 

I grinned to myself. This was going to be fun.

I went for a run around the castle grounds, but the guards wouldn't let me out of the gate to the forest without a fight. I faked turning back to the castle and at the last second ran at them. I took two of them down and was fighting the third when Ethan tackled me to the ground.

He grinned and pulled the earbuds out of my ears. 

"Now, just where do you think you're going, Love?" he asked his voice like acid on my skin. I was still pissed at him about the blonde chick, even though I hated his guts and did not want to be his mate. 

"I wanted to go for a run in the forest, but these a*s holes wouldn't let me out. At least, not without a fight. And since you were occupying the space in the gym this morning, I decided that I would give them a fight, for the sake of a workout, of course." I explained, my voice laced with sarcasm.

He growled and stood up. He offered me a hand up and I slapped it away standing on my own.

"I know you could never forgive me for what I have done, I don't deserve it. But just know, I would never, and I mean never cheat on my mate. Yes, there were she-wolves before I met you, but after the day that I made you reject me, I haven't so much as looked at another woman the way that I used to. Jasmine caught me by surprise. I turned her down and went to look for you when Blake mind linked me you had jumped out a damn window, I had everyone looking for you. The guards wouldn't let you out because I told them to keep you here for me to talk to you." He explained, looking more than a little angry. 

"So, talk. What the hell could be so important that you needed everyone keeping an eye out for me?"

He sighed, "There is to be a celebration later tonight. For you. I had Bree bring in racks of dresses. Be ready by 8. Mine and my brother's packs will be attending, so I expect you to at least be on your best behavior." 

I rolled my eyes, "Yes alpha, of course, alpha, anything you say alpha." I said sarcastically and gave him a mock salute.

I snatched my airpods from his hands and ran back to my room. 

I was going to look so good tonight and he was going to be living in hell because there was no way I was passing up the opportunity to tease and torment this beast.
