"Why are you trying to pin it on me?" Ryan asked her.
"I am not trying to pin it on you. Not really. It just makes for a nice solution. If you knew already that Diana had cheated your grandmother out of her house; and cheated you out of your inheritance, and then you made an appointment to talk to her about it, and she refused to listen and to release Mrs. Atkins out of the contract..." Sarah was interrupted by Ryan.
"I might have got so angry I killed the old dame?" He shrugged. "I guess I might have."
Sarah squinted. "Really?"
"No, darling. Not really when I could have easily broken into her office and taken all the copies of the contract. No contract, no deal, right?" he asked.
"It is not as easy to break into our office as into the storage unit," Sarah warned him.
