Megan's eyes widened in terror.
Audrey grabbed a fistful of her hair, yanked her head back, and slapped her hard across the face.
"You really thought those pathetic little tricks would be enough to defeat me?"
The force of the slap knocked Megan to the floor.
Audrey bent down, picked up the metal mallet, and raised it above her head.
Megan trembled at her feet as tears streamed down her face.
"What are you doing? Stop! Marcus will never forgive you if you hurt me!"
