Chapter 1:Scar girl

Mia sat backbench at the corner of the class. No one wanted to sit with her . She wanted to cry but tried hard to hold it.
Mrs Marline ,the maths teacher walked in carrying her teaching items. The class went dead silent.
"Good morning." She said.
"Morning." The students replied.
She noticed Mia sitting at the back by herself.
She did not mind because Mia told her once she liked it better at the back when she questioned her.
The class started ,Mia loved math because the teacher used to write on the board.
The main problem was dictation She struggled to hear but still managed to cope with it.
Classes were over.She put her backpack and started walking slowly home.She faced down covering her head with her sweater's hat.
"Can you walk faster?" A girls voice asked.
Mia moved sideways allowing her to pass .
"Jeez ! You are wasting people's time ,what's wrong with her." Another voice said.
"Wait .Is she ,,,oh my god." One of the girls shouted as the other pulled of Mia's hat.
They begun to scream .
Mia looked up.
Off course it was Jane and Shanice.They always bullied her,not once ,not twice.
"Scar girl , do you want us to faint! Find somewhere else to pass." Shanice said.
Mia put on her hat and ran away immediately.

She sat on the ground looking up the sky.The stars were beautiful.
A smile crossed her face.Then a sigh.
She was holding a pencil a a book.She begun to draw the stars .
"So beautiful,a voice said behind her."
She stopped and turned.
"I wish I had talent like that."
Jonathan,her best friend,the only person who she knew truly liked her.
"Did something happen,you don't look too good."Jonathan said.
Yap!I'm used to it anyway.Mia said.
" Come here.He said opening his arms to hug her.
The hug was warm and comforting.
" I want to draw." Jonathan said.
"Your kidding ." Mia said smiling.
Let's compete, the one who draws the best cat is a the winner." Mia said.
She ran to the house to get a book and pencil for him.
They begun to draw when Mia bursted out with laughter.
"A toddler draws better than you." She said.
"Excuse me. ! I'm sure yours is the worst." He said.
"c'mon ,you just drew one eye,two legs . What kind of a cat looks like that." She said laughing.
"Ooh ,my ,are you drawing yourself?" She asked.
She stood up to run but Jonathan caught her right leg.What did you just say."He asked.
" Nothing,,,did I say anything?She asked.
" You are such a bad liar."Jonathan said.
He took out a cake from his pocket and begun to eat.
" Why are you looking at me.Go buy yours."He said.
" C'mon did you really believe that, your drawing is actually unique."She said moving her eyebrows up and down."
"Huh ,now I'm a great drawer " Jonathan said.
"Of course you are." She said.
Jonathan took a bigger bite looking at her .
"You can't fool me ," he said.
Mia pretended to be shocked and looked at the ground next to Jonathan worried.
"What's wrong." Jonathan asked.
"Stay still, don't move." She said.
"What!" He said scared.
"Shh ,don't move ,just look at me." She said.
Jonathan looked at her as she moved closer to him slowly pretending to be looking at the something on ground.
"What is it." Jonathan said almost crying.
"Will you be quiet." She said.
"Umm !" She took a big bite and ran away.
"Tricked you ." She said.
He woke up and begun to chase her.After running for so long they lied down on the ground and begun looking at the stars.
"They are beautiful." Mia said.
"Mia!" A voice interrupted.
It was Rubi.Mia's younger sister.She had just turned fourteen.
They woke up from the ground and stood.
"Hi, Jonathan." Rubi said.
"Hi ."He answered.
Rubi turned to Mia."Mum needs you back in the house ,you have no shame being with a guy at this hour." She said.
"We are doing nothing wrong.He is my best friend."Mia said.
" You really have no shame." Rubi said.
"What's wrong with you ,she three years older than you ,have some respect." Jonathan said.
Rubi did not say anything.She looked at Mia angry.
" I'm sorry Jonathan,"Ruby finally said.
" Not me ,tell that to your sister."He said.
" Sorry."She said with a cold tone.
" Bye Jonathan."Ruby said and went back to the house.
" Hey ,I'll be fine besides am not some stupid cry baby.Am already used to all this."Mia said.
Jonathan did not say anything,he looked at her eyes.He understood her.All that pain and tears she held back despite all she was facing.She was the strongest person he knew.
"I'll always be here." He said.
He kissed her forehead and hugged her.
"Gudnight, " He said.
Mia entered the house and found her mum looking out the window."Is that what you call friendship?Stop seeing that boy." She said.
Mia only nodded her head in agreement.She turned to look at Rubi.Rubi smiled and looked away.
She got in her room and sat on the bed."I can't cry ,I have to be strong." She said.
She switched off the lights off and went to bed.
She couldn't sleep.She kept turning.
At last she woke and opened her diary next to her.She took out a photo.
"Dad ," she said silently.
She looked at the photo for a while and placed it at her chest.
"I miss you soo much. Everything is changed ,I am having a really hard time.I don't know what to do.I wish you were still here ." She said.
She closed her eyes to prevent the tears which almost rolled down her cheeks.
She took out her diary and begun to write,and finished it with a drawing.
She smiled.
"It's beautiful,"she said.
She lied down and begun to think.She remembered all the good times .
"Why does it have to be me." She said.
She turned and covered herself with a blanket.
