Awake Again

Chapter Four(Si)

Yuxuan gasped awake and sat up quickly. He was panting so hard as if he had ran a marathon. I caressed his hair softly and he turned to me. He had boiling rage in his eyes along with disgust. Obviously it wasn't towards me, though. He was on his bed and I sat next to him on a chair.

"Didi, what happened?" I asked so worried. It was midnight already. Everyone dispersed after the incident and I didn't wanna leave Yuxuan'side.

"Xaoran." He said in disgust. He seemed as disgusted as I was to Xaoran.

"What did Xaoran do?" I asked curiously.

"He's evil, jiejie. He's a very bad guy. Why were you talking to him?" Yuxuan questioned.

I smiled at his cuteness. "I didn't want to, didi, but I had to. I also chased him off." My smile vanished slowly. "Did he hurt you?"

Yuxuan held horror in his eyes as he looked away. "He said I'm still a boy, so he'd spare me. He said once I'm fifteen he'd finish me for good."

I gasped. So it was Xaoran who killed Yuxuan? I didnt even suspect that. So he had killed others before me? He was really a monster. "What actually happened?"

Yuxuan turned to me with tears now forming in his eyes. "I went out for brief fresh air. When I was returning, I heard something. Xaoran was on a call with someone. They were talking about finishing off a girl named Xin yi. He said he wanted her dead before midnight." Tears streamed down Yuxuan's face Luke a stream.

"Xin yi?" I paused to think. Xin yi? That name rings a bell. Then it clicked. Xin yi? That was Xaoran's first gf! "Xin yi!!"

Yuxuan nodded. "When he saw me, I tried to run into the party but he grabbed me. He quickly injected me with something and said I was still young. He said once I'm fifteen he'd finish me for good. He said I should never speak of it to you or he'd kill us both. Jiejie, I'm scared."

I gave him a warm side hug as I tried to think. I was indeed right. It was true that Xaoran has been killing before we even started dating. He's such a monster. Only if I can get some solid evidence can I put him behind bars. But how can I get evidence? Once the sun rises, I'd watch the news.

"Jiejie." Yuxuan called in a low voice.

"Mm?" I asked.

"Do you like Xaoran? Are you still so into him? Do you still wanna marry him?" Yuxuan questioned disengaging.

I shook my head. "I hate him. Since to days ago, I've hated him. He's indeed a murderer and a drug lord."

"Drug lord?" Yuxuan asked.

Shit! I slipped. I bit my lower lip and nodded. "He is worse than you think, didi. Stay away from him from now on."

Yuxuan nodded. "Also, this is the second time I'm over hearing his conversation with his hitman."

"Hit man?" I asked in shock. I gasped. That man I saw in the future must probably be him.

"The first time was on your birthday. He told the man to kill a man. He said the man was a thorn on his side so he wanted the man dead. He also called the man Mr Yang. He said the man always against his sucess." Yuxuan informed.

Mr Yang? I gasped. Mr Yang was Xaoran's father! How could Xaoran kill his own father? Was he that evil? So the person I was dying for was a murderer? Like a real time murderer! Do IG he can kill his own father and I, his wife, what if he kills Qian? I got even more scared. The way he looks at Qian when he's with me is so poisonous. What if Qian wounds up dead one morning? I gasped. I can't let it happen. I must do anything in my power to find evidence against Xaoran. It is a do or die affair, now.

Sun rise came faster than the seconds hand. Once it was day break, I freshened up and dressed up for school. I only applied a lip gloss and sat back on my bed. I unlocked my phone and went to watch the news.

"19 years old, Xin yi, was found dead by her sister this morning. Xin yi was said to be a very calm and quiet person. Everyone around ignored her existence so people couldn't imagine she was murdered. Xin yu's sister just. came back from a group project study in her school library and found Xin yi brutally murdered this morning. No one can say who might be the one. Indeed Xin yo dated the popular Yang Xaoran for a year but that is bygone. If it was jealous fans then they should'be killed her two years ago. Xin yi was just a high school senior so who would want her dead badly?"

I sighed and dropped my phone on my bed. I tried holding my tears as I stared into space. My eyes burned with tears. Xin yo was just an innocent girl. What did she know that made Xaoran kill her? She must've seen or known a lot that caused her death. I frowned and got up. I went to my wardrobe to pick out another thing to wear.

I got to the house and looked at it. I was across he house looking at the petty storey building. In front of the house were ornamental plants of different types. I walked across to the house and rang the door bell. Indeed she dies this morning so it was sort of restricted. The door was opened by a young lady in her early twenties. Her long hair fell on one side of her face graciously. Her skin looked so pale and her eyes were red. I felt like crying as well.

"What do you want?" She asked quite solemnly.

"Hi. I am Xin tan, Xin yi's friend at school." I introduced.

"Xin yi has no friend. If she did she wouldn't have been depressed everyday." She said looking at me suspiciously.

"I just recently knew her. She's quite smart and reserved. She's also a nice person. I have some problems with my studies so she promised to help me. We studied togather for about a week and then I heard she died. I doubted it was true. Who would want to kill her?" I asked ending with teary eyes.

She moved aside and let me in. I walked in looking around. The house was covered with restricted lines. Some things were broken, showing sign of struggling. The window was also broke. and things were scattered.

"Someone attacked her last night." She informed remorsefully. "I can't believe someone actually hates her."

I lived towards an open room. Blood was on the floor and things were scattered in the room. "I can only think of one person who would want her dead."

"Who?" She asked eagerly.

I walked into the room. It was in such a big mess. "Xaoran."

She gasped. "Xaoran? I thought they broke up two years ago."

I turned to her. "They did. But why? Because she fell out of live for a jerk like him. After two years she suddenly starts mingling with guys and even got a boyfriend."

"Boyfriend?"

"He didn't last long 'cause Xaoran threatened him."

"Why is Xaoran so evil? I must report this!"

"Evidence." I turned back to search the room calmly. "Without evidence we are just making accusations." I opened her drawer in search for something suspicious.

"What are you looking for?" She asked rushing to me.

"Xaoran kills people who are against his happiness and safety. Xin yi must've known something or had something that'll jeopardize his safety." I informed. I found her diary and a flash drive next to it. I took it out and went through the diary. It seemed to have something important.

"Is it evidence?"

"I'm not sure. I have to go thigh it to find if it is a useful evidence. Can u take it home?"

"Well...promise me you put Xaoran in prison."

"Don't worry. Xaoran is my greatest enemy. I want to kill him, but I can't. I'd bring him down." I assured with determination.

I got it complete." A guy backing the camera said. His voice sounded so familiar.

"Didi anyone see you?" Xaoran. asked. He was dressed in our school uniform.

"No. No one even suspected." The guy said lifting up the briefcase he held. "It contains seventy cocaine and thirty m*******a. Its complete for the buyers."

"Indeed. You did it well. I'd send you fifty thousand yuan soon." Xaoran promised.

"Thanks, Xaoran." The guy thanked sounding happy.

"You don't need to thank me, Ximen. You and I are buddies." Xaoran said and grinned.

The video cut.

So he has been killing and selling drugs since high school? This guy is really a criminal. Ximen? Hmm, it may be the guy from the future. The voice indeed sounded like his. I can't hand in this evidence now. It's still dangerous. Once I got more evidence on drugs and some on killings, I can finally bring him down. Right now I need to head to school. Though beyond late.

I came out of my class after the teacher left. The teacher was our homeroom teacher, so he questioned me for coming late. I told him I was taking care of my brother. Since everyone already know what happened yesterday, it was believable. It was break already and u was famished. My parents didn't Kay for my lunch at school 'cause I told then not to, so I eat alone in quiet.

"Xin yi!" Hua Fen called catching up too me. We were still in the hallway.

I turned to get and have a pale smile. "Hua Fen, what's up?"

"How's your didi? Is he alright, now? What was actually wrong with him? Was it a heart attack?" She questioned.

I sighed and looked ahead. "He's fine, now."

"It's a relief." Hua Fen said with a relieved sigh. "So are you going to see Xaoran or Qian?"

"Why?" I asked as we went down the stairs.

"'Cause this morning Qian asked of you. Later this morning Xaoran asked of you. So who are you going to see?" Hua Fen questioned curiously.

"None." I said breathing out. I wasn't in the mood to see any of them.

"Anyways, can I follow you guys to your beach house?" Hua Fen asked with hopeful eyes.

"If course. At least you'd be distracting Xaoran there." I said as we got to the bottom of the stairs.

"Xaoran us coming?" Hua Fen asked excitedly.

"Sadly so." I said as we got out of the building. I waved her goodbye as I made my wat to my Peace Garden. People glanced at me weirdly as I went. They also murmured within themselves as some pointed at me. Typical teenagers. I sighed and shook my head. They were either gossiping about my brother or the fact that the two cutest guys in the school asked about me. I got to my Peace Garden and moved around to find my Peaceful Spot. I found someone sitting on my bench which made me angry. I moved faster to see the person who calmly sat on my chair.

"Qian?" I called in surprise. It was break, why was he here early?

He got up quickly as he saw me and approached me. "Are you okay? How's your brother? He's fine right?"

I chuckled lightly. "Yuxuan is fine. Don't worry."

Qian smiled in relief and gave me an unexpected hug. "I'm relieved."

I gave an uncomfortable smile and slowly pulled away. "You don't have to be too worried about my brother. He's a strong boy."

Qian f****d my hair behind my ear and smiled. "Thank God."

I cleared my throat feeling quite uncomfortable and made my way to the bench. I sat and took my lunch box from my backpack. It was my favorite sweet and sour pork. I took out my chopstand began to eat.

"We'd be going to your place after today right? Or should I come later?"

I looked up at him and smiled. "Shi de. You should come later, I'd give you my address."

"Or you can give me your number." Qian said and gave a cute smile. I chuckled. Silly boy.
