Malakai quickly dispatched the man responsible for throwing the knife and then turned to look at Liana, who was milking her injury for all it was worth.
She shrieked at him, pointing at the blade still buried in her shoulder.
"Juniper pushed me!"
I blinked at Malakai innocently.
"I simply dodged. It wasn't my fault Liana stepped into the space I left behind."
