While everyone danced at the party, I saw Nadia leave. She looked devastated. Upset. Angry. And her eyes were watery at the same time.
At first I was worried about what went wrong with her. I wanted to go after her but Aiden volunteered, assuring he would take care of her.
I stayed back at the party even though I wasn't comfortable with how abruptly she left. It couldn't have been our argument earlier that caused it.
Just as I returned to my seat, I saw Serene holding Lucian, dancing carefreely. That was when I realised the reason Nadia left the scene crying.
She probably felt jealous because of how close they were. She was my best friend and predicting the reason behind her emotions could not be such a hard task.
But Nadia made a mistake to think that I would never find out
