Chapter 3: The Captured Rescue

1019 Words
It was a very sunny afternoon; everywhere was so quiet, the walls could hear your voice even if you were talking to yourself. I had just finished taking my shower at Niamon’s house; she served me very hot food, but I couldn't wait for it to cool because I was so hungry. Even though the day was sunny, I swallowed it all. After lunch, I decided to go on a walk to cool my brain and set the goal that brought me to the city. As I walked down the road, lost in deep thoughts, I was distracted by a tennis ball that rolled from the woods to my leg. I picked it up and looked in that direction to see if anyone was coming out from there, but I didn't see anyone. I decided to walk through the woods to see if I could see the owner, but I didn't see anyone. I got carried away by the beautiful view I was seeing and kept going inside until I heard a weird sound. I quickly hid behind a tree to look around, and lo and behold, I saw a vampire ripping off a man's heart. I got scared, and in an instant, the transformation took hold, and I became a werewolf. I did this so that when I ran, I would hardly be seen but only be felt. As I passed the vampire, he felt my presence but didn't see me, but as I moved, he followed me. I didn't know that vampires have a supernatural speed that can make them disappear sometimes. I noticed he had not seen me, but we were walking on the same line. In order to distract him, I started walking all over him to confuse him and push him in another direction. I used my blurring movement, which made him start looking for me (the unforeseen presence). As we used our speed to confuse each other, he threw a stick at me and injured me. I became weak and transformed back into a human. I lay there tired and weak with the stick still inside my body. I tried to pull it out, but the pain was so much; it was an arrow stick, and it penetrated into my body so badly that I couldn't remove it by myself. As I kept struggling to remove it, I heard a footstep. I looked for where to hide and saw a small tank, so I crawled and hid myself at the back of the tank. Thinking that I had escaped, I tried to peep and check if he had passed, but I saw the leg of a man standing right in front of me. I looked up, and it was him. I asked in pain, “Who are you, and why did you throw a stick at me?" He smiled and asked, “What are you doing in the woods alone?” He bent down to help me remove the stick, but I screamed so loudly that he suggested we go to the hospital. “ I'm sorry that the stick landed on you. "I was actually fighting with an unforeseen creature, but why are you naked?” Did the stick also rip off your clothes?" he laughed. To disguise my real identity, I answered, “I do walk around the woods sometimes. I just got distracted by a ball, which I'm guessing is yours. I was in this mess because I was looking for the owner, and a wolf jumped on me, holding my dress. I got scared and left the dress for it , but when I was running off, a stick landed on my leg.” He looked at me with pity and made a phone call. He removed his jacket and covered me. In just a minute, an ambulance came, and I was taken to the hospital. As the nurses were attending to me, I begged them not to allow him in, because I didn't want anything to do with him and the fact that he's a vampire, which makes him an enemy. They obeyed my instructions by telling him to give them time to do their job. They numbed that part of my leg where the stick was and removed it. After removing it, they started setting up the table to clean my wounds, but the wounds were already healed because I'm a werewolf. Seeing this, I quickly used the bandage I saw on the table and covered that part of my leg so they wouldn't know or start questioning me. “Your leg needs to be cleaned up; those bandages won't help the wounds to heal faster," one of the nurses said. Seeing how concerned she was, I responded, “I really have somewhere to be, and being in this hospital won't help me. I will manage my leg, and I will be fine. Please tell Mr. Good Samaritan, that I'm fine, and you have done your job to avoid him questioning you or looking for me.” She smiled and agreed. On my way out of the hospital, I was stopped by the receptionist. “Good day, young lady, you're not allowed to cross that door until the person that brought you in signs the document," she said. I was shocked; I didn't understand why anyone would make those rules. I went back to the nurse that attended to me and pleaded with her to help me beg her colleague to let me go. She laughed and said, “We do not have any rules like that; you're allowed to go home as long as your bill is paid. "Maybe it's just a misunderstanding." She followed me to the front door to actually know why anyone would restrict me from going home. When we got there, she went to the receptionist, and after having a conversation with her, she walked up to me in disappointment and said, “I'm sorry, but the person that brought you in is the owner of this hospital, and he said we should not allow you to go till he says so.”
