  Shortly after, Seth arrived and entered the room, scanning the area but failing to spot Damien.   He turned to Jane and asked, “Is Damien not here? Where is he?”   Jane’s eyelids fluttered before she answered, “He’s stepped out.”   “Let’s get down to business while he’s away,” Seth settled onto the couch.   Jane went to the tea cabinet and poured him a glass of water, then brought it over.   Seth accepted the glass, glanced at her and remarked, “Is everything alright with your face?”   Jane smiled wryly, “It’s nothing, just an old issue.”   She sat on the bed, facing him.
