A week into their dating trial run, Easton accompanied Riley to the picnic at the park event he’d wanted to attend. If he were given the choice, he’d rather put together a private picnic for just the two of them. He knew of this secluded stand of trees at the far side of the lake where no one would bother them. As much as possible he wanted Riley all to himself until he caved to making their relationship more permanent. He’d love nothing more than to see that day. But if the picnic event made Riley happy then Easton would be here with him, no questions asked. Some time together, even in such a public setting, was better than no time at all.
