Morning!!

474 Words
The morning sun streamed into the attic room, casting a warm golden glow across the four beds. The soft chirping of birds and the gentle rustling of the trees outside served as nature’s alarm clock. Karrie, still wrapped in her colorful blanket, began to stir, her eyes fluttering open to the bright new day. She stretched her tiny arms and yawned, her face lighting up with excitement as she remembered that today was a fresh opportunity for adventure. Sarrah, her older sister, had been awake for a while, lying quietly in her bed as she imagined the day ahead. The thought of exploring new places and perhaps discovering something magical made her heart race. She glanced over at Karrie, who was now rubbing her eyes and slowly getting out of bed. Sarrah’s anticipation grew as she sat up, ready to embrace whatever the day had in store. “Good morning, Karrie!” Sarrah whispered cheerfully, trying not to wake the others too abruptly. “Good morning, Sarrah!” Karrie replied, her voice full of enthusiasm. “What do you think we’ll do today?” “I’m not sure, but I heard Ma and Pa talking about going to the market later. I bet it’ll be fun!” Sarrah said as she slipped out of bed and began getting dressed. The morning routine was a lively one, with the sisters moving about the room and getting ready for the day. Laura, the eldest, had already been awake for some time, having woken early to enjoy some quiet reading before the bustle of the day began. She sat by the window, her book resting beside her as she looked out at the serene mountain view. The sound of Ma’s gentle calling soon filled the house. “Breakfast is ready, children!” The sisters hurried downstairs, their excitement evident in their lively chatter. The smell of freshly baked bread and sizzling bacon wafted through the house, making everyone’s stomachs rumble in anticipation. Pa was already seated at the table, reading the newspaper, while Ma moved about the kitchen, setting out plates and dishes. “Good morning, everyone!” Ma greeted them with a warm smile. “I hope you all slept well.” “We did, Ma! We’re so excited for today!” Sarrah exclaimed as she took her seat. Ma nodded, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “I’m glad to hear that. We’ll be going to the market this morning. I’ve heard there are some interesting things to see and buy. So, make sure you eat a good breakfast.” The children eagerly dug into their breakfast, chatting about the market and what they hoped to find. Karrie, her mouth full of bacon, wondered aloud if there would be any animals to see. Raine was already thinking about the sweets and treats she hoped to get.
