“Hey, there’s a small gap here. But I couldn’t see what’s inside of it,” Silica said.
The three look at a small hole in the wall that is full of darkness making them not see anything.
“Why not try our new combination skill? The fire arrows,” Akeiko said.
Silica pointed straight to the gap so they would be able to light the area inside of it.
As the arrows hit the wall adjacent to the gap, the wall opens up like a door. A room appeared in front of them and the crystals that are on the walls lit up.
“What is this?” Silica asked.
“Maybe it’s a secret room in this cave,” Akeiko said.
“Be careful, this might be a trap,” Teiko said.
“But it seems that no one has ever been here before and look, there's a treasure box!” Silica said.
“Then this looks more like a trap. Let’s be careful, put a little distance from me as I open it,” Teiko said.
Teiko walks towards the treasure box, being careful around his surroundings. Silica and Akeiko are being alert of what will happen.
“Ohh, nothing happens. The box contained many items, but I’m not really sure what these are,” Teiko said.
“You’re in luck,” Saki said.
“You’re already awake, Saki,” Akeiko said.
Akeiko and Silica walk close to Teiko and Saki.
“Be careful!” Saki said.
The two stops.
“Just kidding, there’s no trap in this room. This looks like a secret hideout of beings that lived centuries ago. They’re not here on Gekozen anymore so you guys could loot all of its belongings,” Saki said.
“So the owner is dead. Why are you joking with us, Saki? I was so nervous,” Silica said.
“Forgive me, Silica-nee. Anyway, there are a lot of useful items here. There are even grimoires,” Saki said.
Teiko picks up one of the grimoires and opens it.
“No! What are you doing? Opening it up would start the process of you learning the skills inscribed on that grimoire,” Akeiko exclaimed.
“Really? Sorry about that. But there’s nothing happening,” Teiko said.
“That means the grimoire you’re holding might be one of the three; an upgrade grimoire, grimoire that requires the person learning it to have attain a certain level of a characteristics like maximum amount of mana or a grimoire that require the person learning it to have already learn a specific set of skills,” Saki explained.
Teiko holds out the grimoire showing its cover to Saki. He said, “So which is this?”
“Oh! You’re really lucky. The reason you didn’t learn it is because you don’t possess its prerequisite skills,” Saki said.
“What is that grimoire, Saki?” Akeiko asked.
“It's a grimoire of the Clothing Alchemy. The skill is for creation of any clothing as long as the material is present,” Saki said.
They all look at Silica.
“Why? Why are guys like that?” Silica asked.
“Of course, this one's for you, right, Saki?” Teiko said.
“Yup! The requirement is that the person should know both Weaving and Tailoring skills and should have a decent amount of mana,” Saki replied.
“I got the first two but I don’t have the third one right?” Silica said.
“No, you got a lot of mana. You’re just not using it. Although it’s not comparable to Teiko and Akeiko’s mana, it is still large even if you compare it to a normal mage,” Saki said.
“Really?! Then, I’ll take this grimoire,” Silica said.
“Learning that skill would also make you able to repair any clothes as long as you got the required materials. It will be the same as my recreation magic but only limited to clothes,” Saki said.
“Thank you so much everyone, I’ll learn it a bit later if we’re taking our rest,” Silica said.
“Okay, so what are the other things here,” Teiko said.
“Hey, Teiko. Let Saki handle this since you’re not that careful on checking things out,” Akeiko said.
“Fine, fine. Saki, take the lead,” Teiko said.
Saki flew closer to the treasure box. She said, “Let’s start with the other grimoires. There are three left. The first one is the Ablaze skill, when activated, lets the person fire up any weapon or things as while. It takes out a lot of mana if used a lot of times but as everyone would think, this would either be for Silica or Akeiko,” Saki said.
“Ohh, if that’s how the skill works, it’s better that Silica have it so she could have fire arrows on her own,” Akeiko said.
“That’s what I also think,” Teiko said.
“So I’ll be getting two things from this treasure box already,” Silica said.
Everyone nodded.
“The next one is the blinding light, a skill that would blind your enemy for a short period of time, and have an effective damage against undead. Anyone with an affinity with light magic could use this grimoire,” Saki said.
“Then, we’ll let Akeiko have that so she can have other magic abilities,” Teiko said.
“Finally, Fire beam, a skill that would release a beam of fire,” Saki said.
“So we got two each, Akeiko?” Silica said.
“I think so, unless Teiko wants it,” Akeiko said.
“He’s the most prideful swordsman. As if that will happen, anyway, aside from grimoire, we got one Stone of Maverick,” Saki said.
“What?! If what I’m hearing is right, then that’s the stone required for the Hero’s trial right?” Teiko asked.
“Yup! That’s why I said that you’re very lucky, you guys just needed one,” Saki said.
“There are two on that treasure box?” Akeiko said.
“Nope, but you got one in your inventory already, Akeiko-nee,” Saki said.
“Ehh? Why did you say that just now?” Teiko asked.
“You’re not asking and having one wouldn’t change the fact that you need to find more Stone of Maverick, right?” Saki replied.
“You got a point, anyway, that’s all of it?” Teiko asked.
“Yup, that’s all,” Saki said.
“What is this?” Silica asked, then pushed a bottom on the wall of the room.
