A one hundred-meter tall monster is standing in front of the Abysmal Bane Party.

“It looks like a big castle,” Akeiko said.

“It didn’t move for so long that’s why we didn’t detect it from the sound of its footsteps,” Silica said.

“Is it possible that it still didn’t notice us?” Teiko asked.

“No, it’s waiting for us. Look up, its eyes glow in red color. It’s definitely looking at us,” Saki said.

“Behemoth possessed a threat level of Catastrophe C Rank. Be careful!” Silica said.

“It’s hard to fight with mist surrounding us,” Teiko said.

“What should we do?” Akeiko asked.

“It’s better if we split up, but being alone fighting this behemoth is very dangerous, let’s split into pairs. If it attacks us, Silica and Saryx will team up and fight on the right side of the behemoth, Akeiko and I will be on the left side,” Teiko said.

“If it does not attack us, then we’ll just continue going East, right?” Silica said.

“Yup!” Teiko replied.

“It’s two tusks are so enormous,” Silica said.

“Yup, you can create a legendary sword using one of its tusks,” Saki said.

“Only one? Even with that size?” Akeiko asked.

“I’m talking about legendary weapons, if it's a simple sword then you can create hundreds of normal ones,” Saki replied.

“Then the legendary sword that can be created with its tusks would be very powerful, does this mean that we should fight that monster? No, I wouldn’t let you be in danger just because of my selfish desire,” Teiko said.

“Well, don’t worry about that Teiko-nii. We have no other choice since it already made its first move,” Saki said.

“Everyone, just fight as much as you can but don’t overexert yourself. One we defeat this large creature, we’ll meet on the end of it’s right tusk,” Teiko said.

The behemoth's feet are already up in the air and ready to smash them into pieces.

They split up according to plan and started to fight the monster. The stump that the behemoth had made is as big as a standard house.

“You’ll be a good pet for making a flat surface on the ground,” Akeiko said.

“That’s a crazy idea, please stop it,” Teiko said.

“Why? We got a dragon already so what’s wrong in making this one as a companion, too?” Akeiko asked.

“There’s many reasons why it’s wrong so let’s just focus on this battle, but we need to make sure that we’ll not be separated,” Teiko said.

“Understood,” Akeiko replied.

“Since Silica is with Saryx, they should focus on hitting the behemoth at the upper part of its body. So let’s focus on its feet and we might be able to make it off balance,” Teiko said.

《Ground Break》

The ground where the Behemoth is standing breaks down but the monster remains standing.

“The gap that I made looks like a single step of stairs for the Behemoth,” Akeiko said.

“It’s fine, at least we get its attention, Silica would be able to at least hit its eyes and blind it,” Teiko replied.

The behemoth started moving towards Teiko and Akeiko.

“Bring it on, you huge monster,” Teiko said.

“How will we fight it?” Akeiko asked.

“Conserve your mana, we’ll see how Silica and Saryx do. You can’t waste a large amount of mana just use minor skills and let’s see how this goes in the long run,” Teiko said.

“Understand, since our opponent is large, we should expect that the fight will be very long,” Akeiko said.

"Yup, so conserve your stamina, we'll drain the behemoth's stamina first," Teiko said.

Crescent Strike

"Tsk. No effect, huh?" Teiko said.

"It's the expected result from a Catastrophe Rank monster," Akeiko said.

"I'll go closer, maybe a direct hit from my sword will do some damage," Teiko said.

“Okay, I’ll back you up!” Akeiko said.

Teiko engaged the Behemoth and tried to get closer to it as carefully as he could.

I’ll hit it with my sword then release a shockwave together with it. Teiko thought.

《Atomic Execution》

The shockwave causes Teiko to recoil backward but his attack didn’t do anything against the thick skin of the behemoth.

“If slashing you is not enough, then what about stabs? I’ll call this,” Teiko said.

《Star Thrust Nova》

Teiko stabs the behemoth twelve times continuously in a mere second and ends the attack with slashing the target then dashing forward.

“Just as I thought, the same result, nothing happens,” Teiko said.

I hope that there's progress on Silica’s side. Teiko thought.

“Saryx! Let’s go! Let’s show this Behemoth what we are made of,” Silica said.

Saryx flew as high as she could.

“Seeing that thing from above is really frightening. But it’s good that it doesn’t notice us for now. Maybe Teiko and Akeiko get its attention,” Silica said.

Saryx just flew around to have a better view on the above.

I don’t know what’s happening on the ground because of the mist but it’s dark skin is really visible up here. I wouldn’t miss it if I shoot. But I need a decisive move or else it will retaliate against me. Saki said that the behemoth has a long tail and I think it can reach us here. Saryx couldn’t fly higher than this. Silica thought.

“If this would not work then I don’t think that I’ll have any other attack that would be effective against it. Saryx, please bear with me, be as stable as you can,” Silica said.

I have a large amount of mana and if I use chants, I would be able to increase my power output. However, I cannot use any power of emotion. I don’t know what I’m feeling right now, maybe I’m nervous but Teiko and Akeiko don’t know how that emotion works, then, let me test it. Silica thought.

Silica started to focus on her emotions.

Dark yellow aura was emitted by Silica.

I see, I can understand how this would help me. I can focus on my target better, so this improves the accuracy of my attacks. This is just too perfect. Silica thought.

“Saryx, I’ll begin!” Silica declared.

“Oh dear, goddess, I need your aid,” Silica chanted.

The mist from below began being pulled near Silica. The surrounding area becomes clear since the mist was being sucked out of it.

“With your kindness, I’ll create the sharpest blade,” Silica chanted.

The mist formed into a ball of water as Silica continued to speak.

“Let my voice say this loud and clear,” Silica chanted.

Silica pulled the string from her bow even though there was no arrow loaded. The big water ball began to form into a large arrow.

“Be here and near, goddess Amphere,” Silica chanted.
