Two years have passed since the Akitsko Village was built.
I've been training a lot and I already unlocked a large percent of my power. Taiya and I learned many things about the power of emotions and could manifest it. However, our understanding about the loving emotion is still too vague. Teiko thought to himself.
“Hey, brother. Can we try to experiment with one another?” Taiya asked.
“What do you mean? Like letting our emotions flow to a person?” Taiko replied.
“Yes, that’s my idea. We tried to use it on many objects but it’s either destroyed to pieces or became a pile of ash. Maybe if we use it on ourselves, we can understand how it changes things,” Taiya said.
“And you wanted it to be used on us? That’s quite scary,” Teiko replied.
“But we cannot proceed if we don’t try, we already tried all of the possible things,” Taiya replied.
Well, we haven’t tried to use it on a magical skill since Saki does not want to participate in this. Teiko thought.
“Hmp! Don’t include me in that thing. And I already taught you a lot of things already. Why not learn magic yourself?” Saki asked.
“I have the pride of a swordsman, I could beat anyone with just my sword. You don’t want to partake here cause you don't know what love is,” Teiko replied.
“What do you mean I don’t know? With my number of years living?” Saki asked.
“Fine, just accompany me on my journey, alright?” Teiko said.
“Okay, Taiya. But I’ll be the one who will receive your emotions, are you okay with that?” Teiko said.
“Wow, you’re very brave, huh? Maybe you would also turn into ashes,” Saki said.
This really scares me though. But I don’t want Taiya to be in that part. Teiko thought to himself.
“No response, huh? You’re concentrating too much,” Saki said.
“No worries. I think I got this,” Teiko replied.
I’m glad that I learnt how to close my mind. It is really helpful to make Saki not see through my emotions anymore. Though it takes me roughly six months to master this. Teiko thought.
“I’m fine with that, but please tell me if I should stop even with just a little pain,” Taiya said.
“Okay, Taiya,” Teiko replied.
Taiya holds onto Teiko’s shoulder as Teiko’s back is facing Taiya. Taiya emitted a rosy red aura that’s also flowing through Teiko’s body.
“Brother, are you feeling anything?” Taiya asked.
“Yes, but I still don’t understand. Let a lot of your emotions flow through me. Maybe I’ll get this,” Teiko replied.
The aura being emitted becomes larger and denser.
What is this? My power is dwelling up on me. I feel that I can punch a house and destroy it in an instant. Teiko thought.
“Taiya, I feel that I’m getting stronger. This is amazing,” Teiko said.
The aura becomes even denser and denser as Taiya exerts her own power.
Taiya breathes very heavily and Teiko could hear it.
“Taiya, are you alright? I feel you’re exhausted, let’s stop this,” Teiko said.
Taoya suddenly falls down on her feet.
“Taiya! Are you alright?!” Teiko exclaimed.
“Brother, I feel my power has been drained,” Taiya said.
“What do you mean? Does that mean your power was transferred to me?” Teiko asked.
“Ohh, so it is that thing,” Saki said.
“What was it, Saki? Can you explain this and how can I help Taiya?” Teiko said.
“An emotion where you can transfer your power for a period of time to another person. The simple solution is for you to use that power on Taiya and she’ll be back to normal,” Saki replied.
Teiko began to use the power on Taiya. Taiya became normal afterwards.
“Do you understand it’s power, brother?” Taiya asked.
“I think so, the reason that objects are being destroyed after we use the power on them is because it couldn’t contain the power that we are passing to them. The reason why you feel exhausted is because you’re transferring your power to me and that’s the power of this emotion,” Teiko replied.
“Actually, the transfer doesn’t only include your raw power but also mana and lifeforce,” Saki said.
“That means, you can die if you transfer too much lifeforce right?” Teiko asked.
“Possible, meaning you could transfer your life with other people,” Saki said.
“Really? So it’s possible to revive another person with this kind of thing. And also, this means that evil beings could use this to increase their lifespan,” Teiko asked.
“No, I think you couldn’t do it to a dead being. And also, evil beings more often than not do not have many beings in love with them, so if they really wanted that, they first need to have a willing being to sacrifice themselves to them and should also love them,” Saki replied.
“Your explanation is too hard to follow so I just think that the answer to both of my questions is no,” Teiko replied.
“And with these, we already could use the power of love, anger, happiness, sadness and fear. We should try another emotion after some time,” Taiya said.
“Yes, in addition to our strength, this power of emotions would help us a lot,” Teiko said.
“You already fulfill most of your goals here. You only have one goal left. To beat your teacher,” Saki said.
“Yes, after that. I’ll venture outside the sanctuary, I already trained enough. And to complete my checklist before leaving this place, I just need to win against Dalton-sensei,” Teiko replied.
“Why didn’t you include winning against Taiya in your goal,” Saki said.
“Well, one of my goals is to let Taiya master the power of emotions and also to fully utilize her power. Having to win against her is just too much so I didn’t include it,” Teiko replied.
“Then, let’s have a rest, brother. Your battle against Dalton-sensei will be due tomorrow so let’s sleep. I want to sleep beside you so let’s go to your room already,” Taiya said.
“Okay, Taiya. Let’s rest,” Teiko replied.
This would technically mean the last night with Taiya so I’ll let her do this. I’ll be leaving her alone with the village chief and his wife and I know that she will really be sad. However, I need to do this and I know that she will understand why I did it. Teiko thought to himself.
The night passed by. Teiko and Taiya finished their breakfast and on their way to the training building.
“Since we finished learning the power of love, what will we learn next?” Taiya asked.
“Hmm, then let’s train your cooking skills,” Teiko replied.
“Eh?! I don’t want that, I only want to eat something you cook,” Taiya replied.
“Don’t be like a spoiled brat. You should learn it or you won’t get a husband,” Teiko replied.
“Nope, that’s alright. A wife doesn’t mean you need to be the one cooking. And I’m sure that my future husband is good at cooking,” Taiya said and hugged Teiko’s arm.
They arrive at the training area where the students are already doing their warmups. Teiko and Taiya proceed to have their own warmup.
“Good luck on your match, brother. I’ll cheer for you,” Taiya said.
“Thank you, Taiya. I’ll catch up to you. You already beat him two months ago and this is my chance now,” Teiko said.
“Of course, didn’t I tell you that I’ll be the one protecting you. But I know you could do it this time,” Taiya said.
