CREAK!
“Another secret room inside the secret room?” Teiko asked.
“No. This explains why this room has an air just like the passage. That’s a secret passage to the third level. You can directly go to the third level just by going through this. I didn’t find out about this the last time I passed through here,” Saki said.
“Wow, this means that we can fight those lesser dragons soon,” Silica said.
“Hmm, should we not fight other monsters from this level first. We might encounter them on the third level together with the lesser dragons,” Akeiko said.
“Yes, we should study our opponents on this level first. We might stumble upon another secret room again if we do that,” Teiko said.
“Then, let’s go!” Saki said.
“Wait, let Silica and Akeiko learn their new skills first,” Teiko said.
“The process of learning new things from grimoire would take an hour so we might wait for a little bit if you like to do that,” Saki replied.
“Then let’s do that after we explore the area, since you’re already awake, you can save us if we get into danger,” Teiko said.
“I’m okay with that,” Silica said.
“Me, too,” Akeiko said.
“Fine, even though you’re just treating me like a bodyguard,” Saki said.
“Sorry, Saki. Letting you help would not help us grow,” Teiko said.
As they walked a certain distance, they encountered the abomination rats again.
“So meet again, huh?” Teiko said.
“And they look so pissed,” Silica added.
“We have to fight them this time,” Akeiko said.
《Crescent Strike》
The abomination rats easily dodge the shockwave.
“Akeiko, you just need to burn one of them, team up with Silica so we can make it happen,” Teiko said.
“Good thinking, burning one would spread it to others since they always touch one another, but it would not work unless you burn one,” Saki said.
“Teiko, they’re faster than the minotaur. We might not be able to hit them,” Silica said.
The rats swarmed up and engaged Teiko.
《Atomic Execution》
The rats disperse to individually dodge the shockwaves. Teiko was able to back off before the rats could reach him.
“Akeiko, use the ground splitter. Since we already know how thick the ground here is, you should be able to control it so the c***k would not reach the third level,” Teiko said.
“I understand!” Akeiko replied.
《Ground Splitter》
Some of the rats couldn’t evade falling to the c***k.
“We got eight of them,” Silica said.
“Rain down fire arrows and fire balls before they could climb up,” Teiko said.
The eight abomination rats died after Akeiko and Silica used their combination skills.
The other rats that didn’t fall back out upon seeing what happened to their companion.
《Blink Strike》
“You pests can’t escape us!” Teiko said.
《Crescent Strike》
The shockwave created a c***k on the other side making the rats nowhere to go.
“Akeiko!” Teiko shouted.
《Ground Spike》
Teiko jumps and waits for the spike to be created. He stands on the top of the spike.
《Solid Fire Ground》
“With these, this guy wouldn’t reach me,” Teiko said.
Akeiko and Silica started to barrage the abomination rats until no one survived the attacks.
“Splendid,” Saki said.
“Maybe I should learn water type magic so we could extinguish the fire after the battle,” Akeiko said.
As the battle ended, they waited for the fire to die down then proceed to explore the rest of the cave. They encountered other minotaurs, abomination rats, and death salamanders before they encountered the gargoyles.
“Among all of the monsters here on the second level, they are the most useful after being defeated. Their bodies return back to granite which can be looted and used for many materials,” Saki said.
“Just by the looks of it, fire attacks wouldn’t be useful at all,” Akeiko said.
“It’s fine, since shockwaves are their weakness,” Saki said.
They easily defeated the gargoyles, collected their drops and finally went back to the secret room.
“Since, Saki said that the air here is the same as the passages, let’s camp here. The secret door also closes as we remove the arrow fired by Silica. You guys should also learn the magic from grimoires while we are here,” Teiko said.
The other agreed and started learning their new skills.
“It would take them two hours each to learn both of their new skills, so what will you be up to, Teiko-nii?” Saki asked.
“Of course I will guard them from here. But since I have nothing to do, tell me how I could effectively defeat the lesser dragons in the third level,” Teiko said.
“Eh? You’re not gonna cook food?” Saki exclaimed.
“Relax, I’ll do that an hour before the two finish learning their new skills. I want them to eat the food that I cooked right after it is done,” Teiko said.
“Fine, but they should also learn about the lesser dragons too, right?” Saki said.
“Oh, you got me there. So for the time being, I’ll just unleash some part of my power. I already unlocked 17 percent, let’s unleash three percent now,” Teiko said.
As Akeiko and Silica are learning their new skills, Teiko starts unleashing his power.
ARRRRGH!
Teiko’s scream resonates throughout the cave. Silica and Akeiko were distracted by it and delayed learning their new skills to watch over Teiko.
“What’s happening?” Silica asked.
Teiko and Saki didn’t answer her question since they are both focused on the process.
As the ceremony ended, Teiko was covered with a lot of wounds which flooded the whole room with blood. Saki healed Teiko immediately after the process.
