The dragon started the fight with firebreath.

The dragon uses its big claw to attack Akeiko. The ground shook as the dragon’s claw slammed the floor. The ground spike crumbles with the lesser fire dragon’s raw power.
I can’t get myself hit by that attack. Akeiko thought.
The dragon found where Akeiko dodge and used its other claw to hit her. She hit her perfectly but it turned out that it’s only an illusion. The dragon gets pissed off and breathes fire throughout the surrounding area.
“What an arrogant being,” Saki said while shielding Silica and Teiko with her barrier magic.
Akeiko was already above the dragon before it noticed her.
《FireStorm》
“My fire became hotter as I got a good control over it. Let’s see which fire is stronger,” Akeiko said.
Fireballs started barraging the dragon. The dragon spread its wings to shield itself from the fire balls. But visible wounds and burns can be seen after the barrage of fire is finished.
Akeiko falls down to the ground but makes it stable by using fire as a propeller to have a smooth landing.
《Ground Splitter》
The ground splits making one of the dragons’ paws fall down making the dragon unbalance.
《Fire Wave》
The dragon uses its fire breath to oppose the fire wave. The fire emitted by the two clashes intensely. They couldn’t beat each other with the fire and they ended up with a draw with their fire.
The dragon returned its balance and was already standing aground. The scales of the lesser fire dragon become ablaze, the heat in the atmosphere becomes hotter and hotter.

Akeiko looks at Teiko’s direction. She could see how worried they were.
Akeiko looks at the dragon that was also damaged by its own fire because of the boulder that Akeiko made.
Guess I shouldn’t hide my emotions anymore. Akeiko thought.
Akeiko emits a dark brown aura that signifies the power of fear - the power that reduces the cooldown of all of her skill.
《Fire Bolt》
Akeiko fires a bolt to the dragon which it easily dodges.
The dragon made a sound that seemed to be that he was laughing.

The dragon engages towards Akeiko.
《Fire Illusion: Switch》
“This is where you lose, you freaking lizard,” Akeiko said.
The dragon realized that what he was engaging in was an illusion so he used his momentum to jump upward and fly towards Akeiko.
《FireStorm》

As Akeiko uses up almost all of her mana, the aura she emitted disappears and she falls down along with the dragon.
It was certain at that point that Akeiko won the match. Before Teiko could run to Akeiko, the lesser ancient dragon flew down to the battlefield. It drags the fire dragon to the side and clears the debris in the arena except for Akeiko.
The ancient dragon pointed out at Teiko’s direction.

Teiko runs down to the arena and carries Akeiko to Saki and Silica. The lesser ancient dragon let Teiko do his thing and just waited patiently.

As Saki healed Akeiko, Teiko went back to the arena to face the ancient dragon.

“Akeiko-nee, I already healed you but your mana is still exhausted so don’t move too much,” Saki said.
“You did great, Akeiko,” Silica said.
