"PAITYN!" My mother screeched from downstairs. I knew she didn't want me to just call back 'Yes,' so I went down to meet her. The sun had just went underneath the trees, and it was dark out. The stairs creaked underneath my every step. 'God, I'm fat.' I thought to myself. I finally reached the bottom and stood in front of her, my eyes on the floor. She would hit me if I made eye contact. There was another pair of shoes next to her. "Look at me." I lifted my head slowly. There was a man. He smirked looking me up and down, before looking to my mother and nodding. "You'll be staying with him now."
"What?"
"You heard me." I stared at the man. "N-No." I stuttered.
"Excuse me?" She responded. I opened my mouth to repeat it.
"I said, no-"
She slapped me, my head turning from the impact. The man looked at her in surprise, then smirked.
"She's perfect." His voice was deep and made me shiver. My mother smiled at him, before he handed her a stack of hundred dollar bills. She was selling me. Of course.
"What? No! I don't wanna be sold!" Her eyes snapped towards me, before she slapped me again, to the opposite side from before. Why did I even speak up?
"That's too bad. Useless brat." The man then grabbed my wrist. "What are you doing?!"
"Taking you home."
"This is my home!"
"Not anymore, hon." He dragged me to his black Tesla. I thought of all the memories at this place. Some were good. Before my dad died. He opened the door and shoved me in before closing the door and locking it. There was a window blocking the front from the back, so I couldn't get out at the moment. He got it in the drivers seat, and began speeding off to my new home. I sighed. This is it. Time for a new life.
