But if you had asked me for a job, I’d have given you.” I explained it to her, hoping she would understand without hesitation, but she still found it hard.
“I want to merit the position that you’d give me. I never knew you were the new boss,” she stutters, making me wonder where the confidence I saw earlier eloped to.
