I wondered if Enzo would ever ask me to become CEO, but he just did, and I don’t know what to say to him. I want to be close to him and help him find his father, but leaving the company without someone to run it could affect its finances and his business reputation at large.
“I don’t know what to say.” I felt overwhelmed by the offer.
How do I handle the media alone? I don’t know if I’m ready to stand before cameras alone; the flashlights are enough to cause a ruckus in one’s vision.
“You can do it; most of my workers know you as my personal assistant, so it’ll take only one meeting to make you the CEO, and everyone would respect that because it’s my order.” He encouraged me not to decline his offer, but I felt like I wasn’t ready for this position.
