“We need to go.” Noah took my hand, hauling me toward the door. Still in shock, trying to process what the hell had just happened, I nodded before numbly following him. My brother was my father’s favorite, and Noah was right to hurry us to get out of there. I could only imagine what hell my father would rain down upon everyone to get vengeance for my brother's death.
Moving down the hallway, Lawson trailed after us as we raced through the darkness back the way we had come. However, as we reached a split, they stopped.
“Sydney, which way?” Noah asked. When I didn’t respond, he forced me to face him. “Which way?” he repeated slowly, softer this time.
