The last guest for the night was gone, and I placed my hand to my mouth, trying to hold back a yawn. I wasn’t sure what happened between Sin and Uncle Carson, but I knew for a fact that he talked to Sin alone, which must not have gone well since he stormed out of his study, barely saying good-bye or looking in my direction before storming out of the house. I tried not to be bothered by it, but I couldn’t help it. I wanted to know what he thought of my presence in Sin’s house and whether he was disappointed with me for having lied to him and everyone else about travelling. It might not have been a lie at the start when I said I was leaving and thought of traveling the world, but I didn’t know that there was no way I could get away from Sin, not that I planned on leaving his side now.
