I hurried out of the hotel and onto a rough gravel road, and the ground was hard beneath my feet. The only thing I cared about was getting away from the hotel and Jason as quickly as I could. I didn't give a damn about the looks I was getting. I started to hobble a little as I ran after a rock that dug into my heel and made a loud cry. I had a sudden desire to keep wearing those slippers. I was powerless to quit. I wouldn't quit trying. Sin needed to be made aware of what was happening, so I had to figure out how to do that. To start with, I must locate a secure location.
