“Aargghhhhhh!” I woke up with a scream as I searched my sweat drenched body, frantically for any signs of blood.
It was a nightmare!. It was a nightmare! I took a deep breath as I laid my hand on my chest to calm myself down. That had been one hell of a nightmare.
Hendrix was in front of me in an instant. My screams must have woken him up from sleep.
He looked at me with worry and concern in his eyes as he scanned my body and I felt a little guilty for putting him in that state.
“I-I'm fine,” I said quickly as he handed me a glass of water which I gulped down immediately.
“It was just a bad dream,” I assured and the worry in his eyes eased a little.
He placed a soft kiss on my temple and rested his head on mine.
“It's okay sweetheart. They can't hurt you now.”
