I covered the last dark circle under my left eye and sighed. That's what I got for not getting any sleep last night.
I was too worried about my mum to sleep. I grabbed my bag and headed out of the apartment. I just hoped it wasn't so noticeable to anyone. I didn't want to explain anything to anyone.
“Good morning ma'am,” Drake greeted in the professional tone he always used and I sighed.
“Morning Drake.”
I got into the car and tossed my bag to the side and leaned back into the couch.
I closed my eyes for a while just enjoying the silence. It gave me time to gather my thoughts and compose myself before we reached the office.
For once, I was grateful Drake wasn't really the talking type because I really needed my space.
