NADINE We slowly pulled apart and stared into each other's eyes. I could see the heat in Hendrix's eyes and I smiled knowing I was the reason for it. Hendrix drew me close and placed a soft kiss on my temple and my insides melted. “Let me take you out for dinner,” he suggested and I smiled and nodded. “I'd love that,” I replied with a smile and he nodded. He was just about to say something when one of his secretaries interrupted us. “ Sir, the African ambassadors just called, they've rescheduled the meeting for today,” She announced and Hendrix grimaced. “I'm sorry Nadine, this is an emergency, I won't be able to take you for dinner any longer.” I smiled and shook my head. “It's okay you don't have to explain to me.” “Are you sure?”, Hendrix asked slowly as he studied my face.
