Rose's POV
I couldn't think, nor could I move. My heart was beating out of control, and my feet were firmly planted on the floor as a huge wave of shock instantly washed over me.
What was going on? What was happening? I asked myself as my body shivered with uncertainty.
Before I could even process what was happening, the stranger pulled me into his arms, whispering to me.
"Please stay calm. You are shivering. Trust me, everything is going to be fine. I just need you to stay close to me," he whispered with a reassuring smile as he reached up to my face, brushing away a few loose strands of hair.
The look in his eyes was so calm and comforting that it made me feel safe and strangely relaxed.
