I was in my office, drowning myself in work as always. This is what I have been doing since Rose left me. Hoping I can fill the void that she left within me with work.
But honestly, I was just deceiving myself, because no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't fill the void that she left behind. It has been so hard without her. I have been a shadow of myself since she left. You can say the old Lucas that filled himself with whiskey and work was back, and that was when I knew that Rose had indeed left with a part of me.
