CHAPTER 15
When they stopped outside of the town where the boy and his parents lived, there was a cab waiting for them. Langley had called ahead and requested it. Langley decided to wait in the helicopter with Duncan while Charise and Zachery went to see the boy.
When they were in the cab, Charise asked if there was a toy store in town. The driver said there was, so she asked him to make a stop there before going on to see the boy. The cab driver stopped in front of the toy store and Zachery and Charise went inside.
Charise looked around and spotted a fire engine. It had lights and a siren. It also had a remote control. Zachery liked it. He looked like he might want to play with it himself.
Charise smiled. “I can see who will be having all of the fun at Christmas if we have boys,” said
