CHAPTER 9
After lunch, Carlos and Bruce went back to work at the gym. Joey and Hallie drove to the Kantor ranch to look at Louise’s flower garden. Louise welcomed them with hugs when they arrived. Joey and Bruce had stayed at the ranch with Carlos when they had first moved there and were remodeling the building and getting the gym ready to open. Louise had treated the guys like her own boys, and they had become friends.
“I really appreciate you letting us come out and see your flower garden,” said Hallie.
“I am glad you thought of me. I love my flower garden, and it is always a pleasure for it to be put to good use,” said Louise. “Besides, a wedding is a good excuse to have a party. We all need to get together and have fun and visit with each other more often.”
