CHAPTER 5
Charise’s plan was working out well for Sylvia and Arnold. Arnold had talked to Mary Ellen. She was all for his plan.
“Your dad told me he would foreclose on my parent’s house if I didn’t break up with you,” said Mary Ellen.
“If our plan works, He will be begging you to marry me. Don’t give in to him easily. We want him to learn a lesson and to stay out of our lives,” said Arnold.
“Don’t let him get you to see a doctor. We don’t want him to find out you aren’t pregnant,” said Arnold.
Mary Ellen flushed and looked away. Arnold looked at her. “What’s wrong?” he asked.
Mary Ellen looked up at him with misty eyes. “I am pregnant. I just found out today. I was suspicious, and I took a home pregnancy test. It came back positive,” she said.
