AMIRA Jared did not make an appearance at the office the following day. The only communication I received from him was a brief text message instructing me to reschedule all of his meetings until the next day. I didn't bother inquiring if everything was alright with him, primarily because I was still deeply upset with him. In Jared's absence, my day turned out to be exceedingly uneventful. During the early hours of the morning, I diligently made all the necessary phone calls to cancel and postpone his meetings. By the time noon rolled around, I found myself with no more work to do. With an abundance of free time and nothing productive to occupy it, I leaned back comfortably in my chair, propped my feet up on the desk, and indulged in watching Netflix on my phone.
