Epilogue KISCH ENGLISH All shades of Left-wing opinion, from pale pink to the deeper vermilion, were represented at the dinner given to Herr Egon Kisch by the Writers’ League in Melbourne. Interest, in the main, was centred on discovering some of the benefits, alleged or actual, to be derived from affiliation with the Writers’ International to which, according to Herr Kisch, every literary man of European repute belongs. The only literary men of any importance in Europe, he said, held Left-wing or Socialist views (says the “Age”).
