Chapter 27: Homecoming, Part 1
The words of “My Love” sung by Petula Clark rang through the car. Henry looked out the passenger side window as his foot tapped along to the beat of the song. Sam smiled as Henry turned with a mellow grin to watch as Sam maneuvered the car along the highway.
“I like music.” Buddy was in his booster seat in the back, his head bopping back and forth to the rhythm as well.
“Me, too,” replied Henry. “I missed it.”
“This lady sings better than you did.”
Henry grinned and turned in his seat, reached back, and tickled Buddy. “I know, I know. I’m not much of a singer. The instruments in the background make it better, too.”
Buddy giggled and nodded. Don McLean started singing “Castles in the Air” and he asked, “When will we see Garrett and Devon again?”
