Chapter 15: The Aftermath The Next Morning We stayed put, catching a little sleep as the storm abated, until dawn, when the rain finally stopped altogether. I was stiff and tired, but glad to be alive. “Let’s take an account of injuries first,” stated Garrett. We stumbled to our feet. “I’m tired,” moaned Buddy. He looked at the washed-out sand platform that had been our bed, and whimpered. I picked him up and he put his head on my shoulder. “We’ll sort it out.
