Denys He had booked a hotel that night, next to the meeting place. Melody had been accepted, that was what he care about. She jumped into the shower as he brought their things up from the car. He mindlinked Loren ‘She said yes. She was accepted’ He told his Beta. Loren replied barely a second later with a celebration. Denys wandered to the window, staring up at the moon that all wolves worshipped. He didn’t hear the shower turn off, but he felt Melody slide her arms around him, she led her head on his back and he felt her soft hair against his skin. She gave him goosebumps every time. He turned and held her in his arms. She stepped away from him after giving him a deep kiss. She moved her hair over her shoulder, baring her neck for him. He raised an eyebrow. “Now?” He asked. Melody nodded nervously. “Lay on the floor on your back.” He waited until she had done so before changing. This felt strange, he had never changed in front of her before. He heard her heartbeat quicken as he moved closer to her. Her gaze never left his. He licked her cheek before he smelt her neck, searching for the place that he knew he had to mark. It smelt sweeter than the rest of her skin. Almost intoxicating to his wolf form. She held her breath as he gently touched that small patch with his nose, then he bared his teeth. He bit her, deeper then he had ever done before. Her eyes closed and she let her breath out, her back arched beneath him but he knew that it wasn’t done. He had to taste her blood. She gripped his fur with her hand and finally he tasted what he needed to. Immediately he let her go. She didn’t let her grip loosen and he licked the dribble of blood from her neck. His saliva healed her instantly. Her eyes didn’t open, but her grip lessened. He instantly changed back and pulled her into his lap. “Im so sorry Mel. It didn’t hurt too much did it?” She shook her head, and touched where he had just marked her. The small bumps where his teeth had sunk in were whiter then the cream of her skin. A shiver ran down his back. She was truly his now and his desire for her and for her happiness swelled.   Melody He tucked her into bed, and she heard the shower start. She opened her eyes and touched the mark again. Then moved to the mirror to look at it. She didn’t know what she expected, but it wasn’t that. The bumps she felt were small, and white. It had felt much worse than it looked. It wasn’t half as bad as what had been done before to her. She could feel the claim of her clan lessen on her. She wasn’t part of them, she had never truly been part of them. Melody looked at the ring that he had given her. He had told her that it was her Grandmother’s ring, and that his Grandfather was the Wolf Lord. That she hadn’t seen coming. Denys was destined one day to take his place. He was heir to the Kingdom of the wolves, and she was his mate. She was his forever. Denys got out of the shower and joined her at the mirror, kissing the top of her head. “How do you feel?” He asked. She smiled at him, and touched those bumps again. He grinned back, the easy grin that she loved. Yet again she wished that she could tell him everything that she felt about him. She wanted him to hear her voice. She wanted him to be the first one in twelve years to hear her, but that little voice in the back of her head kept her from trying. She turned and touched his heart. He smiled and held her hand there. “It is yours.” He said. “Always Mel.” She stepped up on her tiptoes and bumped her nose against his collarbone. He chuckled at her.   Denys He kissed the top of her head again, then sighed and fell backwards on the bed. He felt the bed dip as she joined him. Then he opened his eyes, and found himself looking up into the blue eyes of the small snow leopard. “Mel?” He asked. The leopard nuzzled his face with hers. She put a paw on his chest, he waited for the feeling of claws against his skin and was surprised to only feel the soft pad and fur. She licked his nose and he heard a very faint purr from her. It was her turn to mark him and she mimicked what he had done. Sniffing him for a moment before she bared her teeth. Her bite sunk in and he felt his heart beat rising. He touched her side and she flinched, accidently ripping his skin where she was biting. She immediately let go and licked where she had damaged. Then she changed back to herself. ‘Im so sorry. Why did I do that? Why do I always ruin things.’ He heard, it was a very very faint voice, one that he knew immediatly. “Melody?” He asked, opening his eyes She moved her head in her silent way of questioning him. “Melody… I heard you.” He said. She frowned. ‘Impossible.’ That faint voice said.
