Melody Saera took it upon herself to help Melody walk again. She chased Denys out in the mornings, dedicating the afternoons to teaching Melody to use all her muscles again. It was a relief for Melody when Saera left and went back home. Leaving Melody alone for five precious moments before the next person arrived. It was normally her mother, and Melody had perfected the art of pretending to sleep when Jaide was around. The problem was that sometimes Denys would be with her and Melody wanted to see him. She didn’t want to see her mother. When Denys was alone, Melody would budge up on the bed and he would lay beside her, holding her carefully as he tried not to fall off of the side of the bed. He would stroke her head gently and talk to her about the house that he was building for them. H
