Luna carried Cyrus around the Smyrna Condominiums, over Lake Michigan, and around the back toward the parking lot. As she climbed, Cyrus expected a gorgeous panorama of city and lake, and that was exactly what he got—albeit in muted colors. The city lights circled by his rat’s bubble field of vision in muted greens, grays, and yellows. To the tune of roaring lake waves, the blurry jewels winked at him and the breeze calmed him as Luna wheeled over the water. Luna let out a hearty gronk as she turned back to the city.
