Kirk landed in an alley with a sickening pop, a sizzle of bright light, and a thud. He landed face-first on asphalt and grimaced. Traveling to wherever the hell he just went took a lot of energy from him. He wanted to lie there with his eyes closed and just rest, but he couldn’t. Well, maybe he could.
