Kirk tightened his elbow grip around Gilberto’s neck. “Let me go!” Gilberto cried. “You’re a hell of a runner, aren’t you?” the demon asked. In his mind, the real Kirk had stopped fighting the demon’s hold on him. It was pointless. He could only watch as the demon used his body for whatever it wanted. “Let me go!” Gilberto cried again, struggling. “You think I’m going to chase you for five blocks just to let you go?” the demon asked. “I’m on a bounty hunt, not a fishing expedition.” He slammed Gilberto against the wall. Gilberto fell down on his back. The demon drop-kicked him, and Gilberto yelled in pain. He grinned as Gilberto gasped for air. CRACK! CRACK!Another blow landed on Gilberto’s side. He asked for mercy. “Mercy?” the demon asked. “Tell me what that is.” Gilberto said
