“We are going to use Ember as bait,” William said calmly.
The table was silent for a couple of moments as his words sank in.
“No,” Adrian growled. “We are not doing this sh*t again, William.”
William did not react to Adrian’s anger but instead watched him calmly. “This is the quickest way to find him again.”
“Bullsh*t,” Adrian scoffed. “We didn’t just happen upon him last night, he was clearly ready for us.”
“It took us all night to find him,” William said, his voice raising as he spoke. “And in the meantime, he was out killing other women. If we use Ember to lure him in sooner, we might just save a few lives tonight. Or is that not what you signed on for?”
