2. Covered in blood

      The night was dark and the road was bleak. Today, do not know why the atmosphere looked scary. Lee Jia had a habit of coming here late at night and leaving from here late at night, but to date, she never felt as afraid as it seemed today. She took her muffler and covered her face so that her two pearl-like eyes started shining in the darkness. She clenched her fist and quickly came out of the nightclub. She hugged her chest and started going through Dark Street quickly. Like every day there was no one on that dark street, yet she was trembling with fear. Her steps were moving fast to go through that street quickly.

            Lee Jia was working as a dancer in that night club so she was used to traveling in the middle of the night. She never got afraid of things but today her heart was beating rapidly. She wanted to get out of the dark street as soon as possible to hire a taxi to return home. Two confused eyes looked towards her feet and there was a yearning to get out of there. Just then, her eyes and steps were postponed and her breath started running at a high speed. She was laying his feet on blood-stained ground. She took her steps back and turned her eyes around her fearfully. The amount of blood was very high, so she started to feel scared and it seemed as if there was performed murder or a serious accident. She swallowed saliva and panted in fear. She looked around to see the situation but before she could guess, there was a destroyed car that was collided with the electric pole. She swallowed saliva and stepped towards that car to see whether the injured one was there or not.

Lee Jia slowly walked to the car and peeped into the car in fear.

“Huff…”

“She sighed in relief because the car was empty and no one was inside the car. The door of the driver’s seat was opened. She thought that the accident must have happened when she was in the nightclub and the injured person must have taken to the hospital. She shook her head and straightened her back to leave from there. She looked at the wristwatch. It was twelve forty in the night. She frowned and stepped ahead to leave because it was too late. Generally, her show time was for half-hour so she used to leave the nightclub sharp at twelve-thirty so she could reach home sharply at one o’clock. When she thought about being late at home, she pouted and recalled that no one would wait for her. Her mother must have been sleeping after drinking cheap alcohol. She sighed and started walking.

Just then, Lee Jia heard someone who was growling in pain. When she heard the growl in the deep silence, she trembled and was frightened. She swallowed saliva and stopped stepping ahead. She turned her head to look around and find the person who was in pain. Her bright eyes fell in the dark corner of the street and her eyes got widened in surprise.

There was a tall and young man dressed in a suit who was lying on the ground and growling in pain. She quickly walked to the person who was covered in blood and half-conscious. She pulled out her mobile phone from her purse and called for an ambulance.

After hanging up the call she glanced at the injured man and sat on the ground on her knees and swallowed saliva in panic. His face was covered with blood and his heavy breaths were like a gale. She raised her palm and put on his shoulder while trembling.

“Hello, are you fine?”

He did not react but Adam’s apple moved slightly.

“Don’t worry, the ambulance will arrive soon. Please hold on.” She said in a sweet voice. Kang Ray opened his eyes weakly and tried to look at the girl whose voice was familiar and sweet. His narrowed and weak eyes were seeing a blurred picture of the girl but he could recognize the girl well. The fragrance of her body was sweet and familiar to him well.

“Oh goodness!” Lee Jia frowned and panicked because the man was looking too serious and weak. She was really worried. Just then, Kang Ray raised his palm weakly and put it on the back of the girl. In a blink of an eye, he pulled her near with all his strength. Lee Jia thought that he must have something to tell her but as soon as she put her face closer to his, he put his bloody lips on her cheek. She stiffened and trembled for a moment and looked at the man quickly but he fainted and did not wake up.

“Hey… please wake up. Don’t die. Hey…” She patted them on his shoulder but he did not react because he had fallen unconscious already after kissing her on her cheek. When she was trying to wake him up, a flash of light spread and she narrowed her eyes while looking in the direction of the ambulance. Three persons came out of the ambulance and started checking the man’s body condition. He was seriously injured and by looking at the flow of blood, it seemed that he had lost a lot of blood amount. They brought him to the hospital and Lee Jia was also dragged to the hospital for further inquiry.

In the hospital, the policeman was inquiring about the incident from Lee Jia. After looking at her ID card and confirming her innocence, they agreed to let her go. When she was just about to turn and leave, a nurse came there.

“Sir, he is Mr. Kang Ray.”

The policeman and Lee Jia widened their eyes and got surprised together.

 “What? The head of the Kang Group of Companies?” The policeman asked with a slight surprise.
