“What are you doing here?” Rodrigo asked me as he stood up from where he sat and approached me while trying to avoid my eyes.
My heart started racing so fast, anytime Rodrigo tried to avoid my eyes it meant that something had obviously gone wrong.
‘’What do you mean by what am I doing here Rodrigo? You left me here in the hospital remember?” I retorted and looked behind him trying to look for any trace of Arcane.
“Rodrigo, where is arcane? Were you able to get him back from Datu?” I asked him again.
“Arcane is fine Perlah, I just came to see the doctor,” Rodrigo said to me but the look in his eyes was telling me otherwise.
I gripped the drip stand in my hand for support as the realization set into me that Arcane might either be injured or dead.
